Mine has sounded a little funky for a year when it shuts off and now it's finally dead and needs replacing. I could use a little info and Butler is closed on weekends. Replacing the unit looks easy but how do I get the cover off this thing? Can't quite figure it out yet.

Has Saiger got a video for this, LOL? I'll keep searching.

I had a couple replaced but my distributor did it.
Steve I could be wrong but I thought we replaced the whole switch on each truck. ???

The switch is thinking the tank is full when it isn't. It will go on when you press it but immediately goes off when you let go. I think the switch is fine but have one ordered in case it's not. It's not stopping us from working as we are able to easily bypass this system but I do want to fix it soon because it is such a great convenience to have your water fill shut off automatically.

I believe my guys wedged a dowel rod to force the switch on. It looked rigged and I asked wtf was up with it. They told me and we ordered and new one.

Last year a different van and same thing. My units are 2005 and 2007 so it could be a wear part.

I don't but can maybe do one quick on what to check first....

And for right now....Take the round cap that has 2 wires going into it on the top of the Fresh water tank.

inside is a short little bobber type float switch.

I have seen with some water qualities, that it can get scaled up and not work as well.

Take some toilet bowl cleaner and water in a container....and dip that float into it for a little bit...just to get the build up of junk off it and it working better...

Than replace...but to replace....twist the cap and wires counter clockwise a bunch so you can then get the wires to not twist badly on the reinstall

Thanks so much, Mark. BTW, do you know how to remove the cover on the solenoid box at the top of the tank above the switch?

There are 4 round screw covers...think they are black...pop those off and phillips screws there....

that is where the switch is if referring to that
