Has anyone here built their own water supply/storage system for their TM? I need to build a small supply tank, with a 12 volt 60 psi pump and an expansion tank. I know they can be bought, but I like to build things to fit my van, and I don't want a huge water tank.....maybe around 15 gals. Anybody here build their own???? Bawb???

I ran a well dry on Saturday, and only needed about 20 gals to finish. Had to tap into the neighbors water.

i don't think it would be worth the effort for that small of a size. you need to think a little bigger. I had a mini van and carried 50. 15 dollar tank, ( from an exporter previously had pickles in it ) pump and a commode float. worked for about 5 years.

know any of the car wash owners, RW?

they get their chems in heavy poly drums.
small (30gal) and large..up to 55gal
talk to 'em they might give you one for free.

If you want to go that route and can't find one, give me a call, I can get you one..or three.
Joni's uncle owns both car washes in Ravenna

or you can go to TSC Farm Supply and buy a tank with 12vt pump already attached and ready to go right out of the box.
They have several sizes to choose from...from 15 gal to 150 gal

A fews years back I was going to add a small holding tank under a van which I could use for additional recovery water space. I found a plastic retangular tank(10x18x30) on line. I believe it holds about 25 galllons. They make them in a lot of diffent sizes. It is like they use in RVs for fresh water. All it needed was a couple bulkhead fittings. I never actually went ahead with the project. Let me know if you want it, I'm sure we can work something out.

Robert;

All you need to do is mount the tank up as high as the pump.

Then use an open QC to hook up to the pump inlet.

No supply pump is needed unless you choose to mount the tank below the high-pressure pump.

A few TM's may require pressure, but most will work with this setup.

Larry.....I need pressure to draw chemical out of my solution tank. When the 2 gallon holding tank calls for water on the Genny, it actvates a solinoid that opens the incoming water line to the fresh water holding tank. As it fills, it draws from the solution tank and mixes into the freshy tank, through the meter. But, if the water softener is recharging, or the APO kicks on, they draw down the available pressure from the incoming line from the house, thus reducing the draw of solution. If I had a constant pressure from a pump and extra water in a tank, it would keep the pressure up even if all 3 systems are drawing water (APO, water softener, fresh water tank). Or I could install last step injection......
