~~Anyone switch from room pricing to sq ft pricing or already charges sq ft?~~

We're probably talking about the same amount of money. Those that charge for footage cleaned probably have a higher unit price than those that charge wall to wall.

Ofer mentioned charging by the linear foot for upholstery. I have never done so. I have a start price minimum for upholstery and go up from there based on size, style, fabric, soiling, time, risk, etc.

Might be talking the same thing, just different terminology.

BTW Ofer, I didn't mean to imply your procedure for pricing was being dishonest. I meant that I do not have to further explain my sq ft charge beyond the price. I could have stated that more clearly.

I do like to mention to people that our sq ft charge is not for the whole room, but only for the part of the room that is cleaned. If they are comparing sq ft pricing or even per room pricing, that little info can occasionally tip the scales in my favor.
