If so what is your review of the product and how did you apply/use it. I just saw it yesterday in my supplier's store.

I've got the tan and white about a month ago, but have not found a trashed carpet to try it out on yet.

And that's all that is missing from the carpet, couldn't possibly be worn out.

I just got through talking to Todd at PC about using Dinge away on a commercial tight loop olefin. This was a Vidieo rental store, app 2000 sqft. 2 yr old carpets. All the display counters are now gone. Traffic paths are dark compared to new from under the displays.

Todds response was it would tak to much product. DA was designed for areas the size of the wear areas in front of a sofa... For what I need he said to mist with a UPT spray when done.

Optical brighteners?????

Unless they are complete idiots, I would think not.

It is interesting however what light reflecting material will be left in carpet.
Health issues?
Long term effect on carpet performance?
Does it blend well with rest of carpet?

I used it for the first time today on a couple carpets. It seemed to work pretty good at minimizing the traffic pattern. The main complaint would be the odor from it. It smells like a strong solvent so some people may not want that in their home. We used it on a white nylon and a tan nylon carpet today. Definitely improved.

Dinge Away does not contain any optical brighteners or hazardous materials. Instead, it utilizes light reflectants that are tied to the fiber with a polymer to help restore the original look to the carpet. When using it, be sure to spray conservatively and then blend into the rest of the carpet for a uniform look. It is removable with an aggressive high pH cleaning but is intended to be permanent. Because it is creating an extra wear barrier, Dinge Away should actually extend the life of the carpet. There may be a slight odor when using the product, but it will dissipate as soon as the product dries.

How would one treat multicolored carpet, like a frieze (sp?) with different colors of yarn?

You should use Dinge Away white on any carpet that is not gray or tan. It will fill the abrasions and cause the carpet to reflect light differently. Remember to start conservatively and add more as needed.
