If my truck mount gets 200 I am completly happy with that. I installed a Prochem Legend yesterday and I think that thing is a little too hot for my blood.

I have ran a Steam way diesel burner throwing flames and a Rage running at 200. I would pick the Rage any day of the week. I have ran propane burners side by side with a small truck mount and you can't tell the difference at all in cleaning ability. As long as the truck mounts gets to 200.

With the advancement of great chems over the years I really don't feel the need to blow hoses, leave heat marks in carpet, not have my hydraforce sprayer not work like it should and melt the finger prints off my hands.

An extra ounce of power will do what an extra 30° does for your results.

I used to be between 250 and 280 and the heat is addictive. Now I am between 200 and 230 and I clean just as well. It's just that sense of power you get when you pull the trigger and it sounds like a small explosion and you can't see the carpet for the steam that makes you feel special, until you leave permanent welts in the carpets or burn the skin off your hands.

After 230 there is no point, just wrecking stuff..

pretty much what I discovered too.

on a trashed poly rag, there's a noticeable difference going from 200 to 240.
(you can also melt gum out at 230-240)
But no difference noticed in 240 compared to 270

200 is sho'nuff good heat..and any competent BDCC can get it done with that and even less.
but when that's all your machine can sustain with typical wands and duty cycles, you start to lose a lot ATW in winter, long hose runs and/or higher flow tools when you can't dial up more heat ATM when needed/wanted for the efficiency/efficacy of heat alone
