two types of wanding I see.

the wand "saw'ers" that saw back and forth triggered for sq yard(s) at a time

Or a wand "puller" with slower, straight methodical pulls and forward dry up

13 minutes :eekk:
I skipped to 3-4 min mark
Ours is similar (you're not a "wand saw'r)
I figured as much

why do you lift the wand to going up though ?
I like to lift it at end of stroke (gives the hose a breath)
but why work harder lifting forward?

why doesn't he forward dry on the way up?
he's picking it up and placing it at top?

is the wand that hard to push forward?

I love a loose swivel. Isn't that the point of a swivel? to bend and conform easily to the carpet?

I'm not mad at Tom, I'm just tired of dealing with this sloppy swivel

At what year of use does THAT start to happen?
Mine are still tight.
Proper Greasing will protect the metal from wear.

Besides-- is there even a better swivel available?

I am of the opinion that--- many equipment issues regardless of the manufacturer- have to do with the operator.

proper greasing????

It's a wand that might swivel 2" back and forth for a few hours a day, not a lobe in a blower. It should only need greased once...during the initial build.
