Ok, so now that I've got the attention of lurkers on THAT side of the tazzy

Can any of you share any light on direct drive Merzo truckmounts?
Came across 1 here for sale obviously an older unit not the prettiest but reasonably compact by the look and I do like a Hiace or 3 though this 1 does look like its on a 1 way trip...

Tassie is Tasmania which is to the south of Australia

Between Australia & Antarctica.

The Tasman Sea is actually within the South Pacific Ocean.

Some do not realise how vast the country down under is compared to Donald Trumps land.australia-map.gif Australia USA.jpg

@ShortyDownUnder so do you know anything of merzo units?

Built over there Im presuming no proprietary parts and simple no fuss engineering, just not sure on the performance

The vans possibly worth $2.5k just not sure what the unit adds or takes away

My HydraVac had a liquid ring vacuum, same as the Merzo, however I had a 3 cyclinder petrol Kubota in my van.

The liquid ring vacuum was supplied by dairy farmers suppliers in New Zealand.

The people that built the HydraVac, I've been told, used to work at Merzo.

Gary Bethel is the man to talk to as I know virtually nothing about the Merzo, even though I visited their workshop many years ago, AFTER the Son, Warren Merzikhan had taken over the business.

I think I stuffed up.

I said that the founders of HydraVac worked at Merzo.

That (I think), is incorrect.

Merzo are in Sydney, HydraVac in Melbourne.

I can't think of the other company that started them originally in Melbourne.

I suffer from K.R.A.F.T. :icon_redface::redface:

Found the bloody thing, McConnell TM.

MERZO is the only direct drive
