Welp I've been doing carpet more as a side job the past few months and I really love it. Can't wait to never look at drywall again.
The biggest things i've taken away lately is I hate my older machine. HATE. Works great when it works but man something always needs fixed. I feel pretty confidant I can fix anything now lol. Last job it didn't wanna heat for some reason. Somehow I still got all the paint off the carpet. Tons of chemicals. It's an old Steamway with kero heat. F kero heat. I constantly smell of fuel.
Last job I had to park right next to the door because they didn't have any real parking lot. My fumes were kinda tunneled into the office and choked people out. I didn't even notice because I'm use the the smell.
I'm ready to sell my soul for a Larry Cobb unit lol
And by soul I mean my daily driver beautiful 1 of a kind Cummins powered Chevy. Then I can pimp driving my carpet van everywhere.
