Guys, come on, for damn crying out loud, at least make your after shots look BETTER then the befores.

Do I have to do every thing around here?

Basic common sense rules for B4s and Afters.

Use real dirty carpet
Get in close with the camera.
Don't use flash, open the curtains and turn on all the lights.
If its for your web site, use a tripod.
GROOM the carpet in the after shots.
For tile/stone pics make sure the tile is dirty and not just the grout.

Lordy.

Looks like an awful lot of wand "chattering" was going on. Or a carpet brush was doing it....I doubt it.

I know they are not great but it was all I had when I made my site. I am in the process of updating my site but the money thing is a problem right now. I need to bring the camera with me all the time now.

That place they took 2 dumpsters full of garbage out of. I used the 175, then rotovac and went over with the wand. It looked good, the pictures do suck.

The tile job a bunch of homeless people were living there and I thought the white tile would make a good after photo.

I have to say it sucks when you see your site up on Mikeys post talking about crapy pics but people won't tell you they suck they just wont pick you as there cleaner.

I am open for sugestions since we are all looking. The pricing page is going asap

Thanks

Louis

Ain't no big deal, a grooming would make those pics shine, I will say teh appearance of the "wand chatter" is pretty pronounced...no glide? slot glide and BIG vacuum?

The afters are decent. Would be great if you groomed and used real dirty befores.

Plenty of them on other's sites that you could steal.

Its great that you are able to put your ego aside and take advice. The more you read and learn from fellow owners will only make your business better and stronger. A nice touch for before and afters is putting a large card with your name and logo in the pics so it makes it more personable and professional. You wouldnt believe all the before and afters that are stolen from other sites.

That's actually a really great idea. I've just committed myself to buy a decent camera (besides my phone) to keep on the truck so I can start building up a stash of before and afters and I will be using this idea.

Thanks

Do the pic's really do anything on your website? Do you have customers call and say they saw the pictures and that is what made them call you?

Yeah I think the pics do affect the customers decsion on choosing a company. If they dont look professional than it will affect the customers overall perception of the company.
