Interesting design.. What about pet pad? Or the padding with the plastic liner?
If there's plastic liner, then this tool obviously isn't needed. You would just treat the top of the carpet. The plastic liner would actually backfire on this tool and you'd damage their carpet/pad by trapping the water underneath.

But I'm game on this tool. As soon as they have this listed for sale, I'm getting one
