Gel Break, volatile solvent in a gel form that won't go down to the backing. Stays put even better than other gels.

Score marks on the gum, then the Gel Break and let it sit a minute or two.

Been using these two for years, but also the advice from Scott above to not delaminate and cause more damage good word of caution.

Harvard Dezolvall and water mix or Harvard Gelzov.

Tom Conway agitator

We have everything in a spotting bag. They are available at our webstore or JonDon

Having cleaned literally millions of square feet of carpet though the years - the simplest and most effective approach we found is a 2 step method...

1. GUM SPRAY: Freeze the spot with Gum Freeze Spray. Using a dull knife/scraper - chip off the frozen gum wad that's on the surface of the carpet.
2. SOLVENT GEL: Next apply a dab of a good solvent gel. Wipe away any sticky residue remaining on the fiber.

This process will normally take less than a minute for each piece of gum.

Take and your glide off and chop strokes get as much heat on it back and forth
a few second like that usually takes care of it VDS for the residue.

I normally use whatever gel solvent I have with me. Right now I’m using Harvard’s gelzov stuff. Last time it was HydraMaster cleanmaster OJ

Get it malleable with the hot water from your wand, agitate it, apply the gel, agitate, rinse again.

I’m bored. I just got home from The Cracker Barrel and I regret eating there

Is that where the Georgia crackers go to eat?
