Trying to cut to the chase and not have to try 3 or 4 to get a good GPS app for my iPhone. My wife's Blackberry does it well with Google maps, but it doesn't work on the iphone....I miss it.

Thanks,
Lee

if my garmin wont bring it up i use the mapquest that comes with the phone..
it works great and will give you directions or a turn by turn rout to follow that is reel time
showing your progress on the drive..only thing i dont like is you have to turn your phone
with it because it doesnt have a point north feature..but i have heard the tom tom is
about as good as it gets if you dont like the one that is free on the phone.
hope that helps

lee i just got a i - pad it has maps
i like it i found an address that was not on gps other day

I really like the i-pad also for e mail and web searching
i think the i pad will replace a laptop soon as far as just
carrying a mobile computer.
But as far as i can tell maps is a good program

Lee,
I purchased the TomTom app for my Iphone. At first it took a little getting used to. But, is far better than the stand alone units that I have used. I do use one earplug when using it. They are supposed to come out with a mount (Iphone 4) that I believe elivates the sound volumn. As for now I think it is a very resonable purchase.

my Droid2 came with a great Google based GPS.

The Google maps are awesome. If it's not on google maps a gps can't find it....that's just my opinion.

I use the google maps everyday on my iPad too, don't miss my gps. Just need a good windshield holder for it.

google maps is perfect, set it so that you will see the traffic reports - it saves a ton of time!
