What is the best coating???

I have another cleaner I did a job with last year. It was a slate patio and she wanted it to shine for the fund raiser for the judge. Well the shine is gone and is threating the the other cleaner with court. She could hurt his business even if can't take him to court cuz she does lots of fund raising for elected offices.

He used some crap from home rip off for outdoor stone last time. I know that was the problem, I warned him.

So what should he order to get him out of this mess.

Thank You

Appying topical coates on a slate floor or anything will wear off under foot traffic etc if they want a shiny floor tell them to buy shiny tiles this is the only way if you want to apply it than you will have to strip the old sealer of first wait 2 days than re apply and than you can end up in court yourself because it will not last your call.

topicals do not belong on stone. I'm just trying to help this guy out. I just turned down a job that the guy wanted a topical on his slate. I need the money but I don't want the problem that comes with it.

Thats what we are going to do but I want to use something that may last a little longer so she will be happy and go call Coit next time. They r the ones who put it on first and now she wants shiny.

Coit puts the shiny on every thing here. They are experts you know. Thats what the add says

I understand what your saying it sucks to turn down work but these jobs can are a PITA you may want to find a professional slate guru to pass this onto get your cut and watch how he does natural stone. We tell all our customers to use an enhencer only enrich and seal works well but can fade quickly in sun light.

Topicals are a bad idea but some customers want it regardless. We put Glaze N Seal Wet Look Lacquer on a group of slate BBQ stations 1 year ago and they still look good. Will it last 2 yrs...well see. We get to see them since we service the carpets frequently. One of the local casino's coated their stamped concrete with it and it always looks nice although I'm sure they maintain it.

We've done 5 or 6 of these types of jobs for people who wanted it. The oldest is about 3yrs ago, we've never heard from them so I wonder how it held up.

Alot of folks in the decorative concrete field use Css Emulsion from Elitecrete. I've never used it but have heard a lot of good things about it. Call them before purchasing.

Personally I would put the same stuff on because there should'nt be a problem with it adhering to itself. Modesto is far from mild weather, It does'nt look like anything will last too long.

Coating is the process in which you can copver your carpet or fllor with layer. Like you have a very costly carpet and you want to make it safe then this thing will help with coating.
