Water. Until proven otherwise.

I feel overuse of the wrong presprays would be the only reason to "need" a rinse additive.

I've had to reclean with just water to remove fragrant rinse stuff.

I realize none of you guys use it because it's still pretty new, but Purforce all fiber and Pureforce acid rinses are what I use now. They are liquid and mix at 16oz per 5 gallons. Very economical and leaves the carpets feeling soft and fluffy. Also smells great.

I use ******* final rinse only because the mechanic where I bought my TM told me this was the best product for the longevity of my chemical injector.

He said not to use anything with an emulsifier.

Prior to the this TM, I never used a rinse and never really found it to be a problem.

If additional cleaning is not necessary then use soft water (hard water creates issues with equipment). Simple acid rinses like Fab Set only provide pH neutralization and descale mineral deposits to some degree. We have 3 different corrosion inhibitors in this formula to limit corrosion to metal parts.

All of our other (15) rinses provide cleaning ability (emulsification to some degree) which when used with soft water do generally not cause equipment issues.
