I have no experience with the Monsoon, so I can’t speak to that. However,I know the Monsoon don’t have heat, which some say isn’t important, but if you have it, it helps. For somewhere around the same money, I think the PEX is superior. It’s quite indoors, not obnoxious, easily maneuverable, has a pressure release valve, blah, blah, blah.

If you can afford to do it correctly, you'll go about it in an opposite direction than 99% of us did..

Get educated

Get connected

Get equipped

Get customers

Almost guaranteed success in that order if you have all of these natural born inherent qualities:

Great soft skills and pleasant to be around.

Handyman/tool skills.

Driven and ambitious.

A certain level of fitness.

Naturally curious.

Outgoing and braver than average.

A level of morality and honesty that goes far beyond being caught by the IRS or the maid.

Community/social involvement.

Adaptable to change, now more than ever.

You'll also need at least 100k to get fully and properly equipped.

As well as a wife, parent or partner who can pay the bills and then some for the first five years while you grow your reputation and pay for your start up fees and dues.

Every community has a certain percentage of floor owners who will pay to have them cleaned. Is there room in your area for another?

The amount of the above listed qualifies that you possess will dictate your market share. The more you were blessed with, the higher the caliber of the client base that will naturally develop for and around you as your skill set, and reputation grows.

Be aware, most of us cleaners go into this because we're unhireable and the entry cost can be extremely low.

and most of our industry never makes much more than minimum wage, with no benefits....

Do a soul search, go with someone else for a few months to see if you like the daily mental and physical requirements, and seek proper funding if all things click..

Best of luck!

Almost every day I see somebody ask about getting into this industry, and all what is needed.

I'm going to keep this answer stored on my phone....

oh, and learn how to clean all flooring and fabric types, repair or restore the types you like working with the best, and find a niche that makes you different.

I don't have 100k.
Most don't when they want to jump in this business with only $5k. It's not a house cleaning, window cleaning, or even a pressure washing business. You can jump in those businesses with just $5k. But the proper setup requires much more investment and education.

You left out pool, gutter, dog poop and mobile vehicle cleaning.

If you expect people to call you back, and refer you, all in when education, time and equipment done right the first time is 100k.

If your first few years worth of customers doesn't call you back, it's all an exercise in futility.

Of course there are (very) rare examples of exceptional personalities going on to make millions from the trunk of their car..

Ask your friends and family if you are truly exceptional in work ethic, community involvement, soft sales, and drive.
