I received my new Devastator filter today from a recently won Mikey's Board auction. I already have a 2"x2" PVC blue style Devastator but was looking to get a new one for the new truck. I ordered a 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 and let me tell you.... WOW, what an improvement from the previous model in build quality. The filter now fits tighly and no hoping you catch all the corner. The baffle at the bottom to help remove all water is a great addition. The solid SS cap is heavy duty and well made.

Thanks Mikey, this board and its sponsorships from many great suppliers makes it all possible. Thanks Tom you make a great filter box that is second to none and lastly, Thanks Melissa Conway, you are obviously the backbone that's makes it happen behind the scene.

Your new rig looks great Dan, I was running the CDV last year, although I'm ditching it to go with a dev. I'm just not sure if I'm going to go 2.5 | 2.5 or (dual) 2.0 | 2.0

Id suggest running the filter about ten feet from the truck between two 2.5 sections

If you place it between your 2.5 starter hose and the first section of 2", it will end up on the porch and in the way most of the time

Thanks.... It's still work in progress. As far as the Devastator my suggestion is 2-1/2 from filter to truck on shorts 2-1/2 line as Mike suggested. You can then put a 2" or 2-1/2" on the job side just by changing the lid in those special circumstances. I did mine 2-1/2 both ends, nice thing about the flash cuffs is the 2-1/2 to 2" reducer will allow you to hook to the filter and reduce from 2-1/2 to 2" on the reel. When you drove by yesterday that is exactly what I was working on.

I purchased my machine and had the install done thru Empire Floor Machine in Northridge. The machine and waste tank had to be installed by them for warranty coverage by Sapphire I was told, so they installed the waste tank and machine. I also had them bolt the vacuum hose reel in since the fuel tank had to be removed to do it and they already had it out. I installed everything else myself including fabricated the brackets to do it. You really can't appreciate the details I have done in the pictures. There's a ton of mods including fixing some install issues I wasn't happy about and changing some incidental parts like shitty hose clamps, rerouting the live solution reel to not come off the front of the machine, customizing the fit of the blower hoses, custom routed drain thru the floor, work lights, live garden hose reel, custom fuel tank, custom angle iron on floor before Linex.
The van was custom ordered and I waited four months for its arrival. Rick Aranda and I have spent some quality time on the phone talking about design ideas. I could have bought an Aerotech, Butler or Sapphire 870 but all were ruled out for various reasons and the 570 fit my build design the best.
My other van is a Butler so a ton of my influence is from that truck. I always loved working out of it and tried to iron out the things I didn't like in this van.
