finally found time to work on this thing and get it to stop leaking.....

pulled the rear cover...

wire tied it back up out of the way as far as I could to the therm oil hoses...

cleaned both surfaces and applied some High Temp RTV silicone gasket material..( Nickey would of been proud of me ).....and put it all back together.....

total time 2 hours.....

1 hour to repair..and 1 hour to set and cure before I put in fresh oil..started it up and tested it.....

problem solved......


sorry Mike but smearing JB weld on the bottom of it just did not set good with me.......?

Looks EZ....as pie Jim.

Ever wonder if there are lil' silicone boogers boucing around in there? When ever I do a an EZ gasket I think about the extra goop when you squeeze it back together.

yea I wondered about that but then I looked over those gears and figured it a little piece of silicone hurt it I probably got bigger issues then what I figured....I inspected the gears while the cover was off and I was happy with the way they looked.....it seems they are meshing together pretty good....no wobble and felt pretty smooth.............
