You could tell by having a backpressure reading at the blower exhaust exactly like the vacuum reading device on the inlet side of the blower. Typically a 1/8"npt threaded fitting and hose to a gauge. Thanks, Lee

Nov 26, 2008 #5 S Supersucker Guest I'd like to rebuild my machine and incorporate a silencer. What does one run? If they are heavy gauge, can they be sandblasted out & powder coated or is it impossible to get inside them?

You could add an exhaust pipe under the truck for more noise reduction. We use that silencer for a #4MR blower... before it goes into the HX, which also adds some noise reduction. Larry
