less than a month ago I read a post about somebody having the blades break off their airpath. Yes there was a bad batch of plastic, yes it was silly to yank the fan from the floor whilst it was running.
Anyway, we had a guy break a blade trying to get something untangled, and the replacement blade broke from having a wrench dropped on it from a few inches above it. We brought it back in, my distributer flicked his wrist and whapped the fan blade against the counter and two blades fell off. He put zero effort into it. It was just brittle plastic. They gave us another blade for free, but we still had to pay for one of them because there was nothing wrong with the first blade that we broke. Somebody was just monkeying with it too hard.
