I rarely wear my tools anymore
Only when we're behind the 8 ball on deadlines or I'm the only azzhole on the crew that can do it ...right
Most of my days are spent running around checking jobs, giving estimates , schmoozing custys, and making sure things are in place to facilitate the smooth and orderly flow of crew productivity

always done that in a full size truck or van.
Haven't owned or driven a fuel efficient compact car in over 25 years .

Been thinking about one for weeks, looking at reviews and MPG

Pulled the trigger this week on one of these

Focus hatchback SE
with factory and dealer incentive$ ($6K off sticker) it offered the most in price/value

kinda cool to bee-bop in and out of traffic
More than enough room for my tree stump sized body..,,fair ergos and good visibility.
More acceleration and zip than my van or pick-up
Doesn't drive or feel tiny on the hi-way like the Nisan Versa or Kick and Toyota Yaris I checked out

350 miles on it so far ...computer says I'm averaging 32 MPG (city/hi-way combined)
40 mpg w/cruise set @77 MPH on the interstate

think it's gonna be al'ite

There is a reason ford won't be making cars anymore. Because they had such poor repair records..........unreliable.

Our accountant told us the irs doesn't like covering some vehicles as business.I can't remember what it was exactly but we had a discussion about it.
I’m sure it depends on how your business is set up. We expense both our vehicles off, but we both work the S Corp. We lease one and buy one.

4700 miles now

nice little ride
Good enough acceleration to get in and out of traffic
handles rough roads and potholes better than any subcompacts I've owned or driven.
handles corners well and is "sporty" in the turns
Only slight ding I'll give it is some noticeable torque steer when mashing the gas
average fuel mileage combined 36 mpg

one minor complaint
would be nice to have a larger fuel tank (only 12.5 gal)
My lawn mower holds almost as much .....

quite pleased

be nice ...your disability makes you an easier target to sneak up on an' womp in the back of the hED
and you live a lot closer to Damon than I do......

wish I could afford $19-$20k on a toy
(babychit brown notwithstanding)
If I could, I'd get the new Indian 1200 FTR and a new 4-wheeler

Seems like a fuel efficient pickup like a Honda Ridgeline would make more sense for a mover and shaker with crews all over

But if you wanna save a few pennies on gas I suppose a Nancy mobile is a good fit
