anything is possible.

til one of the fellows that really knows WTH they're talking about gets here, I'll try it

it's the drive shaft mounting hardware that will trip you up as far as a direct swap.
It will likely be different.
Drive shaft might even be different, for all that I know

as I understand it, you won't get any help or parts from Butler either

Maybe that Dale dude will see this thread.
From reading some of his posts, he knows Butlers and rebuilds them for sale
he checks in once in awhile .
maybe he can help get you what you need

As the above says.......

It takes a different driveshft, and front end kit from 1998 up. And then again another from 2004 up. Also there were panel wiring difference that you odn;t have to have. Butler does not want installs other than theirs on the road so they won't sell you the parts.

We bought our first 1998 up, copied and reproduced the driveshaft, and front end kit. We've yet to do a 2004 up. And I'm still looking to buy one from a wrecked, or blown up van. Does anybody know of one?

But then again you can always do what some others have done. Buy the shaft and front end kit from White Majic. The problem of course is it's not exactly the same, (works great) and you'd probably never be able to sell it.

Thx,
Dale
