GEEZ! Yesterday I was pulling into a jobsite, 500sf tile and grout, 400 sf clean and topcoat vct- just in front of the building the phone rings- manager telling me drywall dudes are in and out all day, could he reschedule.:dejection::oldrolleyes: Oh well, 50 plus degrees and sunny.OK.
Got a text from today's customer on the way home. Her husband is sick so Wednesday is not doable. 5 br house, 3 sofas a love seat and 3 chairs with 6 dining chairs.:dejection::oldrolleyes:Second timed rescheduled. The first managemednt company is about 15K a year, the second one owns a successful maid/janitorial company that gives me a lot of leads.WTF are you gonna do?

I get a batch of people at a time that do the same thing. I just reschedule them and smile. I only wish they canceled on good days. Sometimes I'll take a ride to a relatives house for a surprize cleaning to visit and have some fun trying out new stuff.

Everything is always in cycles. I'll go to first job of the day go to hook up to the water and the faucet is stripped, the rest of the day every faucet is a pita.

Or every job has no sewer line. Time to auto pump to a tree. Ya mam all my chemicals are greenish, in color under my breathe.

We have those kind of waves as well.
I take it in stride, especially being a one truck operation because there have been times when I have had to reschedule and thankfully my customers have always been very gracious and patient when it happens.
There is ALWAYS something to do in its place!

just pick the brown-est spot on the lawn.
then hear in 2 weeks that its now green,
then 6-12 months later hear about how they had to mow that spot twice a week because it grew faster than every where else.

someone had a picture of a sprinkler. that was funny yet interesting.

A retort commonly followed after accuse someone of something extremely horrid and cruel that has no bearing to the conversation at hand.

Lighten up people- what kind of person do you think I am?
Humour (in Commonwealth English), or humor (in American English) is the tendency of particular cognitive experiences to provoke laughter and provide amusement.

Where on God's green earth would you get the impression I kick puppies? It's an expression- like choking the chicken, spanking the monkey, flogging the dolphin, etc.

Last min cancellations are always a bummer. They used to ruin my attitude for the day, not as much anymore. They still piss me off when they call and our tech is damn near at their door, being that they already got a call and text that we are in route(thanks HC), I know how it used to feel so I feel bad for my guys. Lately we will put in the customer notes when they cancelled and when they rescheduled too, as well as tag them with an *(thanks HouseCall Pro) so we know what we are dealing with the next time they call and if they do it more then once then we will just tell them we are booked out for many weeks to deter them from using us, not trying to deal with these type of customers.
