I absolutely can't stand Frieze carpet! It wears terribly and all efforts on any of it slightly aged still looks crappy in the traffic areas. More then any other carpet we
Clean.

I just wanted to vent over this crap!

What's your thoughts? And do you agree?

I'd agree if it's builder's grade or even more if builder's grade polyester, but that goes for most any builder's grade. Otherwise medium or high density nylon can look great for years with little care.

Frieze Is great for hiding a patch or seam. Their are high quality Frieze style carpet out there but typically frieze is made without enough density and or with polyester. It all looks about the same on the showroom floor
Direct glue down is the least satisfying to clean in my opinion. Encap makes it easy to clean but, I never feel like it’s really clean.

I sure as crap ran into 2 yesterday thanks for the thread.

one thing to note is where there is no wear its thicker and more fiber and in the tfa the fibers tend to lose density and appear to be darker in front of sofa's. Grooming and peroxide.

I have been seeing more of this stuff also. It really is a PITA and the fiber just does not hold up to traffic at all.
