Carpet Seaming Iron?

Anyone use one of these instead of iron for spots?

No, but I use one to seam carpet.
Don't think it would work well for transfer stains due to the grooved bottom. (No full contact area)

Go to your local DI or Good Will, salvation army and buy a $2 iron. If you want to spend more then that get a Stanley wall paper steamer.

You could buy a iron from Walmart cheaper than that. I don't think I would use that for seaming carpet either. Most likely it is not a cool top iron and would or could cause delamination in seam

I have actually used one of those for dye tranfer removal but it was my normal carpet seam iron and ONLY because I forgot or some dipship lost my clothes iron and it wasn't on the truck.

Ya Ive done that too Steve but I leave it in the tray and it takes awhile to work.

but and auto off iron form walmart is best.

Hi Todd- Kinda new around here but... I wouldn't use it unless it was a last resort. If your gonna buy one I would stick with a crain or roberts. Plain old iron works great for stains.
