Went to scope a job. Had cat 3 water in basement. The HVAC system was running when cat 3 water parially flooded basement. Based on initial inspection, looked as if only the filter had water intrusion. No working parts were affected. Should I call a HVAC company to inspect/service unit or just have the ducts cleaned. I cant find any HVAC contractors that do both. Suggestions???

Benny if it didn't affect much, I'd replace the filter and hand wipe the down the affected areas with QGC. You can have the ducts cleaned if you think necessary, but it may not need it.

Chavez....

That's what I was thinking. Thanks for the input! I guess I will re-evaluate and make the call. I'm trying to save the custy some money...they do not have a sewer backup rider on their policy :(

BTW.....I know you'll be watching the BIG XII turny! I'm hoping for a re-match. EMAW!!!!
