Is this for real?

I know ports across America are eager to use automation thereby eliminating most port workers.

Technology is wonderful however in some industries it will destroy jobs eliminating them all together.
My question is this….who's buying the product or service if workers are no longer working because of robotic technology taking over the workforce?

It would seem like companies defeating themselves.

Their excuse is "all it will do is 'shift' the workforce from whatever trade the robots are taking over to the trade of maintaining and or building the robots. BS.

No.

But there are similar robots that are. In this case a humanoid robot would only be used to demonstrate humanlike motion. There are already grouting robots that are much better at this but they are roomba like.

The humanoid robots now aren't nearly this fast ....but they don't need to be as they don't stop working
