Cat Pump Specialists.......

Do all clutch driven Cat pumps have a way to bypass the clutch by way of bolting down the clutch sleeve? Having some wiring trouble today with the clutch, and I'd like to just bypass it and run the pump full on. Experts here??

I "think" his might e able to, Shane

if i recall on my 1150 model Powermatic there was some kind of bracket with pins that went thru to manually lock up the clutch

Maybe Olsen will know what I'm talking about ...or if what I'm thinking about was ever for that purpose

1/4-20 bolt into threaded hole you will find in face of clutch.

Lee is correct. However I'd just give it 12v if it still worked, it's 1 wire to run.

It's fixed......I wasn't sure if it ran through a relay or not. It is direct wired to the switch by way of the fuse box. What happened was the radiator was leaking slightly, and it was collecting on the switch backing until it shorted out. So....my ambitious Son decided to pull and change the radiator (I had a spare just lying around, believe it or not), and install new switches (and the thermostat switch) and remount them up on the gauge panel out of the heat and moisture. Should be running in a few hours. 10 tears old and still kickin'! Love that Genesis 59.

Oh....and if anyone is having trouble with their temp control not working all the time (as in many Genesis's), pull the thermo control apart and sand or file the contacts. They build up shit.
