#5 .. Have a business plan.

They always preached this in college business classes, never had one and I don't think many do. Does anyone here use a business plan and actually follow it?

We do a yearly. In fact we've been working on it for the last few weeks.

But you got me on the second part, we don't follow up with it. We get busy and make changes on the fly and don't revisit the plan.

Lots of planning, good intentions but when shit hits the fan, "brush fire' management takes over.
