I should have taken pictures. Asked to clean nursing home rooms, the last one looked very stained. It is the residence of an Alzheimers patient, an old man who is contantly tromping his walker up and down the hallway.
It looked as if the staff had just vacuumed the carpet. So, I dove in with Senor Rollie, the DP420. Halfway through I realized that the whole room was smelling like coffee! That old guy had somehow snitched a few packages of ground coffee and had spread it evenly across the carpet. It was way in there, too.
I stopped to clean the machine a couple of times and removed handfuls of coffee grounds from the belts and brushes.
Oh, I got it clean. But you'd have chuckled to see the looks on the nurses' faces when I cautioned them to keep an eye on that old klepto. You just never know what those old guys and women will come up with next!
