Mike;

Where we first started using the product . . .

was to remove a couple of HUNDRED furniture stains off new white carpet.

It was the best solution out of ten or so we tested.

KILLER on gum, grease and some inks and motorcycle chain grease on your wife's fancy rugs.

If that stuff really does the job on furniture stains, I could make a killing removing stains that other cleaners have left because of not tabbing or blocking.

It does not remove every furniture stain.

The furniture stains we removed were from 3" diameter wood legs, from one chinese manufacturer.

It is however a good first step for many of them.

Larry,
I like your products and have been using them for over a year now, but I must point out something about the way you market this product that really irritates me;

Stating that this product removes "furniture stains" implies that it will remove ALL furniture stains - this is misleading marketing and I don't feel that that is fair to the potential purchasers of this product.

There are so many mfgs out their making false claims about their lame products. I just don't want you to be listed among them.

IMO, it would be better to say, "proven to remove some furniture stains".

It would be even better if you would list which furniture mfg you had success with.

Just my opinion.

There are no absolutes . . .

All spotters only remove a percentage of the stains they were designed for.

As a formulator, I can only try to remove a greater percentage of the stains.

Hopefully, the percentage is fairly high,

but furniture stains vary a lot in composition, and some can be very difficult.

I did state
It does not remove every furniture stain.
When a product is formulated, we try to list the stains it is successful on.

Whaaaaat????? (intrigued) Didn't mean to come off as being pissy.

I agree 100%

All spotters only remove a percentage of the stains they were designed for.

I guess if you used a microscope, you could validate that statement. But, if you can remove a stain/spot to the point that you can't see it with the naked eye, then it is "percieved" by the custy to be totally removed.

but furniture stains vary a lot in composition, and some can be very difficult.

You are so right, but you only stated that "It does not remove every furniture stain" on this forum. On your website, it states that your product indications are;

MS17820 Vandalism Remover - Solvent Spotter 16 oz.
$8.30
Vandalism Remover - Solvent Spotter 16 oz.
Furniture Stains, Ink Stains, Paint
Our Best Ink Remover

I'm just saying that it implies that it removes (or partially removes) all furniture stains.

If someone buys a product and it doesn't perform as promised, the provider runs the risk of the purchaser never buying anything from the provider ever again - even if they have other great products that work well.

Just sayin'
