Noticed on Cobb's website that PowerMAX now has citrus, oxydizers, and enzymes. Has anybody tried this most recent version? Wonder how it compares to Flex with Citrus. Might get some and do a side-by. It's half the price.

It's four oz/gal vs. Flex's two, but the oxy might account for this. And its dilution instructions have always been high.

Don't think its new...other than Cobb offering a fruit slice scent or something?

@Larry Cobb

but that has been the description since at least late 2012.

A few side by side comparisons would be good to have.

If you are looking for a place that can add your logo to the items, someone(here) a long time ago recommended http://www.queensboro.com/home
Been using them for years, they do a great job.

I use the nike dri fit shirts, think it's about 35 bucks with logo. Dirt cheap.

And yes, powermax works great. Been using it for about a year now. Flex has a ph of 12(I believe), powermax is a 10, the powermax should be safer, can use it on more things.

Johnny;
We would welcome the side-by-side prespray testing.
A dollars worth of PowerMax will outclean any other $ of prespray we have tested.
Give us a call if you want to do it.
PowerMax has always had the Oxidizer, Citrus-Solv and Enzyme.
Only the fragrance has changed over the last few years.

P.S. Thanks Jerry for the report . . .
Even Jim Martin has been using it !

Ordered some PowerMax. I'll do a side-by with Flex when I encounter a worthy subject.

I got about half way through a bucket of Flex testing it against Powermax before I set it off in a corner with all the other under performers.
Still do not care for the newer fragrance though. Many more compliments on the older fragrance.

Yep I'm with Kevin, Powermax has been my go to for years and the price point can't be beat. I miss the old fragrance too. I only worry about the new PET PTT carpets Larry Cobb has said Powermax didn't cut and had to add POG as a boost. I'm wondering if Larry will come out with a solution for this?

Flex and PowerMax are different products. Flex is much higher ph and PowerMax has exzymes and an oxydizer. But both are used as go-to presprays, so a comparison will be interesting. Which is more effective: high ph or enzymes and an oxidizer?

Scott;

We are concerned about the new "polyester PTT/PRT" carpets being more difficult to clean with any degree of soiling.
We do have a new hi-performance surfactant which I featured in my webinar (@57 min mark) . It is used in our CitraGreen liquid prespray.
We are thinking about using the surfactant as a booster for "polyester PTT/PET" carpets with excessive oil levels.
Kevin; Thanks for the favorable comparison of PowerMax vs. Flex

  • P.S. Johnny; pH levels above 12 are very difficult to rinse off any fiber,which can lead to premature resoiling.

Well quit "thinking about" it and do something. I'm not "thinking about" cleaning smart strand. I see it daily.

What dilution of PowerMax do yall use in an electric or pump-up sprayer for nylon? Poly and olefin?

Instruction for PowerMax is 4 oz / gal. Instruction for Flex is 2 oz / gal.

As an everyday prespray, PowerMax has a big advantage over Flex, ph-wise. That's an important consideration.

I use 2 oz per gallon on normal soil and 4 oz on nastys. If the label says 4oz, they've just recently changed it. It used to say 8. Which is ridiculous.

PET and PTT?

I must know what this because I don't know jack about carpet but so far powermax makes it look like I do.
