Cobb's VS Amazon Black Lights.

I finally got my hands on this Amazon $12.99 (51 LED) light.

It certainly exposes urine stains but it needs to be about two to three feet close to the carpet than the $225 Cobb's light.

I can buy a very fancy stick and some wire or tape to keep from bending over.


If I were a piss specialist like Damon I would probably spring again for a Cobbs but at the rate we lose them or have them stolen, this is perfect for the hand full of (invisible) pet urine jobs that come my way.

When I lose this one, I'll get this 100 LED light so I can cut a foot off my stick.

@Nomad74 aren't most of your jobs 100% contaminated ? Do you even bother with a light since the whole hose needs to be treated like a puddle?

That's the light I have too Damon. My moisture probe finds more urine than the light though. The light works best on cat urine for me.

It can work for you and against you. I’ve lost jobs after showing homeowner their pee pee’d carpets. They become horrified with both after seeing all their carpet stained everywhere. Some proceed with my services others bulk. I have no ideal how they deal with it after I leave.
So now I go directly where they show me the problem is located or near it and stick with that. If I suspect other locations I find it on my own then call them over to take a look. I stopped walking around the house with them illuminating every square inch.

Those cheaper lights work just as good. I bought *** light at $100 then discovered the $6 light work just as good.

Ive had a few of the one you picture there mikey, its decent but there are brighter ones

I just got the Amazon 12.99 light. Pretty darn good for so cheap.
