Geeze Marty, is that all you do in a month?

Anyway,

I have John's Brute OP Machine and would not trade it for no man's money.

I like his products and they work very well. I have a great deal of respect for John and Patty. They give excellent customer service and the solutions John has and have tested through the years to have available those products sure do make my work lighter, profitable and proud.

I do pres pray with the Judson Juice and sometimes after the OP I do
HWE rinse with my porty. I usually judge what I will do and how many systems I work with depending upon the job I am doing. If I am doing just a maintenance, the OP alone is all I need. If I am doing a trashed abused carpet cleaning, then I take out the full guns.

I will always go the extra mile. I have experienced in the past the value of that.........It takes so little time to do it right, in fact it costs more to do it wrong.

but what do I know, I am just a women...........

No, of course that's not all I do in a month, Darlene. That was just the amount of money I do every month using encapsulation cleaning systems. I didn't post that to brag about revenue, but to show that I have some experience using the system. I don't post about commercial cleaning using only bulletin board "experience."

Something more to note. The 20 inch Defender shown in Mr. Moody's picture looks like it may have the blue brush driver on it that Clark sometimes puts on his machines. I used to have one like it on mine. It will only run synthetic pads like the Tuways pads. Tuways do a fine job on most commercial carpets, but in some cases cotton pads are necessary for those really tough cleaning situations. I hated using cotton pads with the old CCS style OP machines because you had to use a glider and the machine would still track the way the carpet ran sometimes. The new Defender style machines don't do that. I can run cotton on commercial glue down without a glider, most of the time, and without the machine jumping around like Rambo on viagra.

Marty, what pad driver do you use now on your defender, if not the blue one? And what size defender do you have? :?

Pad Driver

Marty,

Yes, that is the Blue Driver, I also have a 'malish' driver for this one that will drive cotton pads. I just hate cotton, give me a microfiber, gladiator, or tuways pad anytime. IMHO a gladiator pad will outclean any cotton pad. We have a few different types of cotton pads and I hate them all.

Now I know you all in Prattville are still all shook up from that twister messing up all those single wides, but that was a CX (has pump & tank), not a Defender (tankless). We have the Defender 17" and the CX-20.

FYI, I doubt Rambo needs any viagra, he is crazy enough as it is.

I now have a fish hook type pad driver. Clark sells them and will run it on concrete prior to shipping it out to abrade the hooks off it. What's left is a simple stud (like me) that drives cotton pads quite well without tearing them up.

Scott:
I am sure that you speak the truth about the Gladiator pads. I've heard good things about them. When Clark gets his next order in, I'm going to get some and try them out for myself. For now, Tuways are king, unless cotton is called for.

Re: cimex vs op (cx-20)

Well I will give a definite opinion next week. We are going to do a large single room of carpet (over 3000 sq ft.) with no furniture.

The room will be divided in half.
Both machines will be filled up with their appropriate cleaners.
Each one will be handled by an experienced, skilled operator.
The flag will drop and the race will be on.

I will post back after the 20th with pictures.

Chances are the Cimex will be a tad faster if the carpet is lightly soiled, although the OP will use less solution (pump fed not gravity fed). However if the carpet is trashed the OP will give better results with absorbant pads. That said a a few Tuways under your cimex will take it up a notch... You can get the here: http://encapstore.com/cart/index.php?ma ... x&cPath=12

Just noticed this is something Art dug up from 2008... I wonder how the testing turned out. LOL

As for keeping things fair, use the same cleaning solution at the same ratio in both machines...

I think comparing op to cimex is almost an apples to oranges scenario. It never stops amazing me to see how cleaners( myself included ) are always in search of the silver bullet. I have had some carpets that came out cleaner in appearance with the cimex than it did with my truckmount. In summary I have a garage , basement, and storage unit full of attachments and machines that at one time or another I thought to be the final answer. Now my new quest is to start putting some cash in the bank instead of pissing it away on the latest cleaners fad shiteatinggrin
