Which is better a company brochure or one for each individual service?

Dan would like to consolidate our brochures into one.

We currently have a carpet cleaning, commercial carpet cleaning, air duct, water damage, fire damage, mold brochures.

I personally like the individual brochure, I guess because to me it's say's I a specialist in that catagory.

I don't like the single brochure because if I'm only interested in soda blasting, I really don't care about mold remediation.

If cost was not the issue would you have multiple or consolidate?

Giving a customer a single specieliezed brochure means they get the facts without diving through your other services to find the little blurp on the service they are interested in. Saves the client time and saves you time from answering questions on info that you may not be able to include if you consolidate into a single brochure. We could probably argue this either way but the buck stops with the customers. You could try doing an impromptu survey on past customers and their preferences. Or consider grouping similar brochures together. Such as Carpet Cleaning, Commercial Carpet Cleaning, upholstery or rug cleaning into one brochure, water and fire Restoration, and possibly keep the Mold seperate since that is a pretty huge issue. Also I would consider how many of each brochure gets sent out and then based on those numbers, you could possibly group together or keep seperate depending on popularity of each brochure.

Thats my .02 and change!

I'd do both. One general brochure and several specific brochures for each service.

That way you can provide more detailed information for specific services and also let that client know that you offer a variety of different services for their other needs.

I think have a tabbed brochure for the office and when you are doing an estimate then sure, but to just give out might be awful expensive.

Wayne is who we use. He is very reasonable when you consider the quality of work he delivers.

We use these presentation folders and stuff them with info sheets of the different services that we provide.

But that's a different purpose, we give those out when they meet with someone, as an intro about our company or about a fire or commercial carpet bid.

The brochures are more for home shows or specific service marketing.

That might be one way of making us both happy.

I still thing you can say more with the brochure than with a paragraph or two in a company brochure.

What about a web site that is very interactive with very well written info, then use 1 brochure and send them to the website. I for one hate reading brochures and have them laying around my desk. I much rather have a bookmark that I can refer to anytime I want if the website is well done.
