Can someone explain about computer security.

I am currently using a wireless connection.

Every so often, when I hit wrong keys, I get a page come up that shows me that there are about five other users in my area.

What are these other users and what does it mean to my computer ??

most likely you are picking up 5 other signals... so how about turning the power off on your modem & router...
and see if you still pick up a signal... if so cancel your internet service and leech off of them... who knows they just may be doing it to you... but if you dont feel comfortable getting free internet service from your neighbor just turn on your security settings for your router...
