Ofer, just rotton luck. My choice would be to immediately let the customer know you will make it right, involve the insurance and make it entirely their problem. That is what you pay them for.

With your track record it is unlikely they will boost your rate. You are what is known as a "sticky" customer and worth retaining.

Picture didn't matter, since the client did not want a patch. So repair was not an option.
Looks like I can get it direct and new at a lower price the re-upholstering. And since my deductible is $500.00 anyhow. I'll just replace and save the insurance for something a lot more significant which I hope will never happen.

P.S. I didn't know teetotalers were betting men, Marty.
