Not great for rugs, especially if you have a bulkhead divider. It will be difficult to get an 8x10 or larger in there. Even a 7x9 will be iffy if you have anything else in the van. I have 2 trucks with 8 ft boxes and was hoping to get rid of my full size dodge but am realizing I need the space for larger rugs. Otherwise, it's easy to drive, fuel efficient and lower to the ground, making it easy to load and unload. They are very popular around here with tradesmen as well as the little Nissan 200

I need another van and I’d buy that type if it wasn’t for trailer pulling.

You only p/u Aubussons and heavy gabbehs or is it too cold to fold where you live?

A lot of rugs can't be folded due to the backings or sometimes leather strip reinforcement

That's why we put a roof rack on the main p/u van
