Conventions, trade shows and Mikey's fest. What shows are good for what?

With all these shows, and Mike going to many of them, any thought on what shows are good for what?

Example:

What show would be best to buy a tm at? Did you save $ because of the show?

What show has the most tm manufactures?

Any shows butler and/or cleanco attend?

Best for education?

Best show for fun?

What show would Mike have most time to "hang" out?

What show has the most tm manufactures? Vegas Experience

Any shows butler and/or cleanco attend? Vegas and Atlanta, possibly Nashville

Best for education? Nashville

Best show for fun? Nashviile

What show would Mike have most time to "hang" out? Vegas... no wife around..

That's fooker is swarmed like he's a rock star. Seriously.

I think you can get a great deal at any of the shows. The vendors are there to sell. At the Mikeyfests I attended you could talk with the reps all you wanted, kick the tires and light the fuse.

We cleaned the bar carpet with a brand new Prochem Everests, cleaned upholstery with Eldiablo. Ran a Hoss with a Pro 1200. Butler was their as well as Aerotech. It waz awesome!

Mark Saiger & Tom King presented, both were amazing.

Fun? Anything you get the MB family together, it's all fun.

What's always great is just the things you pickup from informal conversations. Group discussions at the bar or dinner table. Just hanging and talking with everyone.

What show would be best to buy a tm at? Did you save $ because of the show? Pricing on mainstream truckmounts can't really change much, but other items can be found at show special pricing. Often exhibitors will dump things at reduced pricing at the very end of a show to keep from having to ship them back.

What show has the most tm manufactures? Likely The Experience, although ICE grew dramatically last year.

Any shows butler and/or cleanco attend? They attend a lot of them. Check their web sites to see if they have a show schedule posted.

Best for education? Depends on where you are in your business. The RIA show will knock the socks off of any other restoration related event, The Experience is good for the sole proprietor and beginners. The IICRCA Event is geared toward already successful business people that want to be more profitable. Given the ICRA takeover of the IICRC, this may be a cleaner's last chance to see a presentation schedule filled with solid content. http://the-iicrca-event.org

Best show for fun? Anything in Vegas. Also, the one Mikeyfest I attended (that was a real MF, not attached to anything else) was pretty cool. The people, as always, make the party.
