I have a female (2") Cool cuff on the Truckmount side of my Devastator. Does anyone make something that could be screwed in there after a job is done that would make a water tight fit? I'd like to stand the D on end to save room in the van but don't want dump water to leak out. Thanks.

I have some screw tighten plugs from shaw plugs. Give me sometime in the next couple days and I will get you the parts number for the best 2" T plug we use.
The Turn tight plug is what I am referring to.

Are they almost flush so the D can stand firm on its end without wobbling?

The bottom is recessed Mark, allowing for probably 1/2 inch allowance with the built in female Cuff that is installed on it now. It stands up great now but will leak if I stand it on end. The ideal plug would seal that hole without using up much more than that half inch or so. I suppose if the plug stuck out a little, I could rig some kind of collar or feet that would allow it to stand securely. Thanks again for your help.

I will measure it in the morning as it is inserted in a hose end.

Can you just stand it in a 5 gallon bucket?

Kevin, that would pretty much solve the problem. I just wonder if there's a better solution for me. Only problem I can see with that is having one more thing to navigate around when I have to climb in the van while on the job. I'm a little OCD I think and clutter really bothers me. I don't like to leave anything outside the van either. This is probably more an issue with me than anything. Plus I really do think it's worth considering how and where we put things in the van. I get the attraction to these big box trucks like Mike has but it's just not very practical for me. I'm not perfect at this but trying to become more efficient and develop a "system" that I can train an employee on in the Spring. Thanks for the help.

If this "T" handle type plug wouldn't work, maybe this snap Tite expandable would: http://www.shawplugs.com/snap-tite-expandable-rubber-plugs-c-250.html

Hope this helps. Let me know if more questions.

Just realized you wanted to plug up the female side. I measured what I had in a 2 inch plug and a 2.5 plug. Neither will fit in the female cool cuff properly. 2 inch way too small, 2.5 inch too big. I will try and see if I can figure out a plug later today. Hustling out the door in 30 minutes with the boys and both vans for large commercial job this morning. (Show me the money!) :)

Here are some pics of the size and measurements. Not sure which plug to recommend at this time, but here are the measurements to research what size plug you might need.

Thanks Mark, those pics are really helpful. Looks like that plug you have would be ideal for sealing that hole but would stick out slightly. I may give them a call on Monday. It looks like they have a huge selection. Thanks again!
