Wouldn't 10 extra Feet of hose do the trick. Also pulling through the Rails is risky over the top is safer. Usually a picture hanging on the wall bellow.

Lisa time for a nooner.

I've had situations where going through the rails was my best course of action....I'm sure we all have. HOPEFULLY you are checking for pictures and shelves/tables, etc. below before running it through. I don't like to go over the rail because of fear of damaging the (often wood) bannister, though i think from the looks of the gadget it could be adapted to be used on the rail as well, along with a good stair hook to hold the hose from moving side to side or slipping down.

There is always time for a nooner.

Take care,
Lisa

It's also something to show the home owner that you care about her property.

It could also be used for going through open windows.

There are some very expensive bannisters and rails (how about $100g?) in Nashville area places. My son has helped fabricate and install many of them.

You'd get your $30 back pretty quickly...

I wrap a terry cloth around the hook before I place it on a spindle to avoid scratching

The problem I see with that thing is if you are cleaning the stairs, you need to disconnect the hoses and re-route the hoses up the stairs anyways.

Other than scratching ( which you can easily avoid if you are careful ) that tool is more work

Good Lord ... is Fred the only one who gets it around here?

I've been getting it pretty regularly lately.

S.W.M.B.O. returns in nine days, twenty one hours and a matter of minutes. :(

But who's counting.

If she reads this post, then I'll really get it.

Ooroo,

PS ::: Whatever happened to "Good grief" ??

Or is grief only good when Harry uses it. ??

I just don't think I could ever bring myself to drop a hose down the wall from a second floor in someones home......when a few extra feet and I can run it down the stairs and secure it much better......as much as the hose moves and flexes when you have to lift your wand it could keep hitting the side of the wall. Not to mention the the pain it would be to have to drop it down to the first floor........Keep them on the floor where they belong.......and make wide swings around the banisters .............

I think I've put hose through a railing like that once in 15 yrs.
Wouldn't normally even cross my mind to run hose through the railing. Lot of fartin' around to get it through the railing then to get it back down again.
