Cork Floor

What should I know about this type of floor. A restaurant I am bidding has this in one dining room. It has a grease build up on it. This is a brand new establishment with top of the line everything. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

This posts makes me thing a few of us should start going to the Surfaces convention. I think there is a whole world of information that this exposition might provide for questions like yours.

If possible get a sample of it to see what is sandwiched between the cork.


Did one a couple of weeks ago that had a hard resin material as the middle.
Had a sample and soaked it overnite to make damn sure it did not swell.

It did not, so I cleaned it with a normal degreaser and turbo turned down a bit.
