I suggested "The Black Hole" only partly in jest, because most of the money and time spent in the name of "marketing" is wasted for reasons the victim never understands correctly.


Money wasted on marketing often is marketing that is not consistantly executed.

This also applies to relatively free marketing ideas from books, web and other sources that end up in the "I'll do it when I get around to it pile."

Sure, there is some marketing that doesn't work. (Usually because it wasn't a good fit for your company and desired clientele. )
But, most marketing works as part of your marketing pie.

How about the , "Get off your ass and start marketing room"?

I know this is 1/2, 3/4, 7/8 in jest but it still seems to be a bit harsh. Say what you will about Brian but as I read over his "website ideas" thread I thought, "This is pretty good stuff".

Sure I've read sitepro just like you do but I've tried the things I say work and I'll tell you if it's something I've read and am not sure.

The other aspects of the real world marketing I know work ...and I also know what doesn't
