I am preparing a piece on the cost of lost time for service providers and would appreciate some input on the following questions (carpet cleaning only, not restoration):
  1. What is your average ticket cost for a typical job you do?
  2. How many minutes does it take to clean that particular job?
  3. How many trucks on average do you run per day?
  4. How many jobs do you allow yourself on average to do in an average day?
Just label your answers 1,2,3,4....
Thanks, I appreciate your help, and also fear some of the replies that I might get from some here! LOL (I am looking for honest answers please)

I wish I could answer these questions with consistent answers.
I will say that jobs seem to go more smoothly when the customer isn't involved. :dejection:
Why does a $200 job take longer then $400 job sometimes?
Here's my try:
1) $250
2) 60-90 minutes
3) 2-- but barely 1 van during this wet season.
4) 8 to 12 --- but barely 2 currently.

4) 4 to 5 per truck. (Unless it's shitty February).
