What are you guys doing and how often?

Also, are you using your CRB for agitating preconditioner into carpet? What chem? I have just been told to avoid chems with salt in them.

One of my 10"ers failed (purchased during group buy last October) and had to go in for repairs. Less than one year old but warranty is not covering these repairs. Apparently lots of gears, shafts and parts are corroded. Dang!

I clean mine occasionally. I run it In a wash tub with the water running letting it drain the dirt away as I go. Then take the brushes off and wipe it all down. I try to reverse the brushes too.

Using prozyme plus and extreme clean and OSR. sometimes I use tobac attack in my prespray too.

No wash pit, just using it to massage in preconditioner into carpets and some tile work, usually Procyon, Dry Slurry or Flex sometimes with Oxyblaster additive.

I use my IPS sprayer to rinse very, very thoroughy. 5 minutes before putting it on the van keeps everything clean, ready and unsmelly.

I'm still using my garden hose on mine. Turn it on it's side, turn it on and hose off the spinning brushes. Apparently, it can be dangerous with some 10 inch models.
