There are the original Austrian built machines, and there are also now Asian knock-offs. Originally the Austrian machines were built by Rotowash. However there's another company that's now producing a copy of the original. The Asian models are being sold under a variety of names. As you might expect, there are differences in the build quality between the original Austrian machines and the knock-offs. My advice would be to get an Austrian built CRB machine. I have two of the Austrian built units.
Keep them clean and lubed and they should go fur a decade or more

I bought mine from excellent supply a year ago, love it, so far so good, no problems at all gets used on 95% of my jobs.

Definitely agree with Rick to get one of the Australian machines.
Machines can look alike on the outside and be very different inside - how powerful is the motor, quality of the gears and so forth.
The Brush Pro is rated for use in standing water. You can pit wash rugs or scrub a wet tile floor wihtout worrying about electrical shock. None of the knock off are rated for use in standing water.

The Austrian machines all come from the exact same maker/manufacturer. Rotowash builds ALL of them.

The BrushEncap can scrub wet floors with no problem at all. But we wouldn't recommend submerging the machine. In fact I wouldn't recommended submerging any machine. That's bordering on insanity IMHO.

I have the strong dry. I pulled the cover to replace a broken side. It was my fault not the machines. One of the gears is cutting into the side. Both sides. I couldn't figure out a way to keep the gear dead centered. It's basically floating back and forth creating a grease filled with aluminum filings. Great for gears. I cleaned it all out and it still works perfectly. If it crashes I'll buy one from Rick Gelinas. They are a great company to deal with.

The trio looks spiffy. I have Nacecare Dp420, and it is a fantastic machine. It does have pros and cons, but the ability to clean everything from uneven tile to carpet, wood or concrete is indispensible. Excellent Supply has them, too.

I have a host machine I got off of Craig's list for $200. Now I can't live without one. I don't scrub tile with it but does great on carpet. Will probably buy one from Rick when it dies

I have several different brands of the austrian made machine, I have also looked at the strong dry machines close up. Either of them in my opinion will do great for scrubbing carpet and tile. I use a cimex for encap, so I can't give an opinion on that. There is a couple different crb machines out there. some machines like powerflite, duplex and windsor make machines as well. I use the Austrian type machines because they are effective and light and hold up well. I actually don't like the new brush pro machine. It is built a little different than the traditional ones. (its the one that supposedly can be submerged Buying a machine solely because of its ability to be submerged is borderline insanity like rick said.
