I have been looking to pick up a CRB. I found a Windsor (procaps) machine used, but in good shape for $900. I don't think they are quite as good as a brush pro but over $1600 cheaper then a new brush pro.

Has anyone ran a procaps? Is a decent machine?

I would be using it mainly for prescrubbing dirty carpet and grout and encap maintenance cleaning in residential. I still use my 175 for encapping commercial.

I have a Windsor model... Same thing as the Procaps CRB... I bought this one for $300 locally and it was pretty brand new looking when I got it... I wouldn't use it for grout cleaning.... pre-scrub and encap is decent... It is belt driven VS the brushpro gear driven... I think there is a stiffer brush available but if I was going to pay $900, I'd minus well buy the brushpro unit... The black powder coating on the bottom corrodes and then it exposes the aluminum...

No one ever talks about these... Get a HOST Reliant Machine cheap. Look on craigslist, ebay, OfferUp, etc.

BrushPros are to expensive even used to buy and don't allow you to maneuver the handle as easy as a Reliant. Also you would need 2 different size BrushPros if you are doing stairs. Reliant T5 or T6 machines, you don't.

I never met a CRB I didn't like. I like the small Host machines, the 10 and 20 inch Whittaker's are great, and I especially like the new Prochem CRB I scored at a local pawn shop.

I got a Whittaker off of eBay for 400. It lasted for years and I could of just replaced all the bearing and it would of probably been fine. I traded it for the strong because the side on the Whittaker broke. I repaired it but I never trusted it.

Nacecare dp420. It bulldozes through carpet, scrubs tile and hardwood and once even picked up concrete dust in post construction cleaning. Not sure that abrasive slurry is good for it, so just the once.

Ask Excellent Supply to give you their best price. I know Rick loves his BrushEncap, but for my company, the 420 is tops.
