So what do you fellers do beside clicker and mouse navigation to stay in shape for this demanding work?

After two broken appendages and surgeries, along with COLD winters, I've joined a gym and damn if that don't put some pep in your step.
Elliptical, spin classes, machines and free weights.

I'm a regular Bruce Jenner... :eekk:

PS: Bong usage is not cardio

We get plenty of exercise if we're an owner operator. For all you corporation dudes that have operators under you...I'm jealous....and you need exercise, lol

Since I don't "work" for a living in any physical sense of the word, I exercise regulary, and as Matt advised, I am very careful with what I eat. I didn't get serious about this until a few years ago, and can say that I feel better than I've felt for over 10 years.

How I LOOK, however, is another matter....:eekk:

"You need an activity that gets your heart pumping"

Exactly.

During the warm weather I do more boulder/cliff climbing, as well as turning over logs and rocks to look for frightening creasures, but when its cold and icy, I stick more to trails. Those woodland strolls are not enough of a cardio work out, and the exercise regimen becomes more important to me November-March.

I'm keeping the couch in place.

Snow throwing is enough of a workout for me. My bad heart needs rest not more work.

I have always ridden a bicycle as my main means of cardio. The riding here in NV is not as easy/fun to do from my driveway so I usually have to drive the bike to the mountains and this time of year it's just too damn cold.
Dirt biking gets the ticker pumping when you mess up and have to push your bike out of a ditch, other wise it's just a great core strengthener.

At my 24/7 co-ed gym, muscle heads are few and far between. Working class Bees, Gramps and Grannies and a few high schoolers. Lots of cardio machines, all the weight machines, free weights and jungle gym stuff.

and virtual spin classes in front of a big screen..
for a $1 a day.

after all my time off the wand and injuries, I'm feeling great.

Our old office (day job) was on the second floor and our building was part of a corporate center that had a gym. I always took the stairs.

One day I was heading for the stairs on my way to lunch and I passed a couple of our engineers. They had gym bags in hand and we're obviously headed for the gym (that they paid for each month). They couldn't understand what I was laughing hysterically about as they stood there.....

.....at the elevator .

Gym 5 days a week. Not the smelly big head kind. Part of a large hospital complex here and its called a Wellness Center. Very nice place with basketball court and olympic size pool. Also has a stairway to the offices upstairs 2 flights with a landing between. Great weight machines and the usual treadmills and ellipticals.

I start on the basketball court slowly stretching then jogging with the ball...about 10 minutes. Next the weight machines about 15 minutes...then to the stairway...climb it up and down 10 times so 20 floors...10 minutes - 10 minutes on a treadmill because I am bored instantly, finish the cardio in the pool 15 or 20 minutes. An hour of work and quick shower. Breakfast/lunch is a protein shake I make at home. The swimming at the end guarantees no pain from the work out.
