one thing I am going to say about bob he does have a great eye for things and details the wraps he came up with instead of powder coating stuff how his truck looks and the wraps and art work is top shelf. I have used bob's input on quite a few things because I get into the mechanical and how things work and he has a good eye the aesthetics which I do not.

I can be a real pain in the butt myself ( and I have a quick temper ) we all have or faults

I would agree with that too.

We're all a bunch of nut jobs here.

It's nice to have a group here that knows and embraces it.

The other forums and their pretentiousness are sickening. Rob, Bob, Cooper, Chip, Skip or what ever his name is this month just give me the willies.

Welcome back Terje, I missed you.

We know why Terry is back. He has something to sell. Looks like this time we dont need a generator or 63 power cords to start what he is trying to peddle.

Terry, The white haze around the weld bead looks like you use a welder with "Clearance Effect" that cleans the metal as you weld. I'm just starting to play with the A/C Square Wave mode on my Tig welder for Alum. Ive put a few Alum stick Electrodes in the tig collet to try out stick welding Alum. But the flux it left behind was so thick and messy, I had to sandblast it off to see the Weld, that crap is almost harder than the aluminum itself!

What Aluminum Electrode brand do you recommend?

Terry, Is that a special gear oiling device installed on the old RX or just a simple beer bottle left there to make a mess when it falls over?

I thought about getting a smaller cube like that. I've got two of the express spartan vans.

Ashley, I have a TIG welder now, but I used some aluminum stick electrodes several years ago. As I recall, the flux was water soluble. Hot water and a stiff brush took it off. I don't know if all aluminum rod is the same though, YMMV.

I think I would of made the door go the other way. I would be worried about going down the interstate and it opening up.

Why did you raise the heater and the vac reel?

Can you reach the vac reel from outside or do you need to get inside to reach it?

Thanks just wondering.

raise the hose reel makes it even with the wheel wells and takes up less pace also when needed it can be removed with out having to go under the van.
same with the little giant also getting it off the floor makes it better to keep from freezing every thing is mounted on a rail or angle iron ( aluminum ) the angle aluminum is bolted to the floor then components are bolted to the angle aluminum even the truck mount so removal of any item can be done in minutes with out having to crawl under the truck.
