dark spots on hardwood

We dripped few drops of flex on a light colored oak steps with 3 coats of varnish this morning. Now there are very dark spots showing up . Anyone have an idea on what to do?

Does it just need to dry more?

A Mr. Clean magic eraser used dry and Slowly could be a fix would like some pics first...

Thanks Mark. I will try the eraser. They may have faded some also after they dry, I will check in the morning.
