Yesterday I was cleaning some tile/grout in a master bathroom, I sprayed the solution down pretty heavy, then the homeowner came running in freaking out. There is a device out there that is installed along the baseboard directly behind the toilet that is a water/moisture detector. His cell phone started blowing up with calls, texts and emails that his bathroom was under water. Have any of you guys seen this?

Yep they even have some connected to you alarm system. Good idea if your home sits empty for extended periods. They only problem is you'll need a dozen of them.

Washing machine, utility room sink, dishwasher, kitchen sink, ice maker, bathroom sink & toilet (for every bath room), bath tub & shower, sump pump area.

One of my clients has one that will shut the water totally down in their house if water hits the floor in the sensor's area....

She had 2 water damages pretty close together and installed one....

1 of my customers has 1 in his basement idk if he gets texts or emails from it but a alarm does go off when the sensor gets wet. Pretty nice thing to have especially if you are prone to flooding

I would think the customer would be happy that you were cleaning as thoroughly as you were. Did he not think there would be moisture being laid down on the tile?

I see them under a/c units but never attached to a phone. Everything now a days seems to have Bluetooth. The big thing here is the ac thermostat which you can change from your phone.
